Governance

Wickline is governed by two teams of leaders:

  1. The APEX Team - a team of eight members, including the chairperson, the Council chairperson, the Senior Pastor, the Lay Leader, and four at-large members. Their task is two fold: long-range visioning and annual goal-setting. Their work is in partnership with the Senior Pastor in setting the vision and goals and then holding him or her accountable to pursuing those goals.
  2. The Church Council - a team of 28 members with representatives from throughout the congregation and the ministries it provides. The Council's task is also two fold: oversight and coordination of the entirety of the congregation's ministry.

Leadership

Wickline is led by our Senior Pastor under the authority of the Bishop, the supervision of the District Superintendent, and the guidance of the APEX Team and Church Council, towards the accomplishment of God's mission for Wickline - to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Ministry Areas

The day-to-day ministry of Wickline is carried out within five ministry categories: Venture, Invite, Nurture, Exalt, and Resources. Within each of these categories are three ministry areas each that help Wickline's active disciples carry out the ministry of the Church.

Venturing Out - reaching out to others through the ministry areas of mission, communication, and outreach.

Inviting In - providing a welcoming church home through the ministry areas of involvement, hospitality, and member care.

Nurturing Each Other - helping each other grow in Christ through the ministry areas of children, youth, and adult nurture.

Exalting the Lord - providing life-changing worship opportunities through the ministry areas of music, worship, and arts.

Resources - providing efficient and ethical management of our resources through the ministry areas of finance, personnel, and capital.
